So my days off this week were on Tuesday and Wednesday.
On Monday night, at like 1 am, Kurt, Alex and these two guys from Holland all decided to go to the bar to meet up with Alex and the Holland guys' fellow skippers. The three of them work at Jungle Cruise in Magic Kingdom. We stayed there for about 15 minutes because by the time we actually found the Alehouse, it was closing down because it was late. So we dropped one of the Dutch guys off at IHOP because the rest of us wanted to go to the Polynesian. So at 2 in the morning, we strolled into Captain Cook's at the polynesian. Everyone got Dole whips but I didn't feel like ice cream so I got pineapple, which was amazing. While we were in Captain Cook's, a huge garden snake comes in and these two cast members kept trying to catch it. It was hilarious!
Then we went to the beach at the Polynesian and sat in hammocks eating our food. You could hear the rehearsal for the show in front of the castle at Magic Kingdom going on from there.
Then we went back home at 3:30 and went to bed.
On Tuesday, I woke up bright and early and went to Magic Kingdom with my friend Greg who I work with. He is from Ohio and I always make fun of his Ohio accent. haha. So first thing we did is he wanted to go to Tom Sawyer island to find the paint brushes that you can exchange for fast passes. Sadly, we were on the second boat there and were too late to find any paint brushes. You really need to be on the first boat across and run fast for them.
There are different coloured brushes that are exchanged for specific rides but there is also a gold brush that can be exchanged for a bunch of different ride fastpasses.
Then we went and did Laugh Floor and ate lunch at Liberty Tree Tavern. We were in the Jefferson room. Greg's major is history so he was trying to explain to me all the great things Jefferson did and about all these American presidents but sadly my brain did not want to retain the amazing facts I learned. I had some veggie dish that was pretty much the best thing I have ever eaten in my life. Not even kidding.
After lunch, we went and took a bus to Epcot and rode Spaceship Earth twice, went on the Finding Nemo ride and walked around for a long time looking at the different pavillions. I learned that Americans don't have a lot of the same chocolate bars that we have and that the Canadian pavillion has the funniest shirts I have ever seen and I will probably go back and get one. I went to the American pavillion for the first time in my life, though i absolutely refused to watch the 30 minute movie.
Then after that, we went over to the studios and went on the Great Movie Ride and the Little Mermaid. Nobody ever recognizes me out of my uniform. They just stare at me blankly when i say hi. We were going to stay for Fantasmic but we were too tired to so we went back to Vista Way. When I got back, Kurt and I made a trip over to Target and I forget what else happened that night.
On Wednesday, Alex, Victoria and I went on a bus trip to Fort De Soto Beach near St. Petersburg. It is two hours away and on the Golf of Mexico and the beach was super nice! It was super hot and sunny even though they were calling for rain. Victoria almost stepped on a baby sting ray though which would not have been good. The beach was probably my favourite thing so far since I have been here. I was soooo tired though, I slept on the way there and back even though they played movies on the bus. When we got back, Alex and I decided to go see the movie Up! at Downtown Disney. It was hilarious! It is a Pixar movie and I would say it is better then Toy Story. I highly recommend it.
So then yesterday I worked and it rained soooo much! The storm was brutal and pretty much everything was being picked up and carried down the street.
Alex had a good day yesterday though...he is a skipper on the Jungle Cruise boats and does the whole speech and yesterday he got to do a private boat for the band No Doubt and their kids! I really like Gwen Stefani so I am soooo jealous.
I also heard a rumour yesterday that Aerosmith is coming to the Studios soon in July for something to do with Rock N Rollercoaster. I'm no fan but I am sure Daddy will be jealous haha
That is all.
